As part of the Study Now, Play Later Saturday Program at The Dunlevy Milbank Center, responsible for the academic portion (curriculum creation and facilitation) of the program for second third and third grade students. Show less Oversaw the College Guidance & Transition Team of seven to provide the highest quality “best fit” college guidance for 160 12th Grade Fellows, while ensuring all 160 rising first-years receive support and coaching to navigate necessary resources on campus via College Transition Workshops and check-ins. Audited and codified the College Guidance & Transition Team’s best practices, disseminated insights at relevant conferences and events, and served as the primary relationship builder with colleges and universities.       This role in the governance structure involves duties at both the national and state levels. Delegates traditionally have a key role in helping to shape the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) policies and initiatives. As elected officers of the NYSACAC Executive Board, Delegates help perform the business of the Association, and they provide resources for the larger constituency of member concerns. Delegates are voting members of the Executive Board. In addition, delegates who are not currently serving as co-chairs will support a particular NYSACAC initiative or committee during every year of their board service, as determined by the Presidents. The term of office is three years, and Delegates must be voting members of NACAC and members of NYSACAC. The purpose of this fellowship program is to expand the number of leaders of color represented in the C-suite within organizations in the college attainment field.At college attainment organizations, people of color are often well-represented among student-serving positions, but not in executive leadership. However, professionals of color know firsthand the systemic barriers that can deter students from achieving a college degree. They also are vital role models and transformative leaders.This yearlong fellowship will provide leadership development and growth to emerging leaders from NCAN member organizations who aspire to become C-suite leaders in our field within the next five years.
