      As a Seasonal Field Technician, I carried out all field protocols for studying disease (sylvatic plague) in populations of endangered Utah prairie dogs, as a precursor for reintroduction efforts of endangered Black-footed ferrets. Research activities included: trapping, handling, weighing, collecting blood samples, ear tagging, radio collaring, performing census surveys, tracking and monitoring populations using radio telemetry equipment, and collecting data.
