Met with patients from marginalized communities, often with health issues affected directly by poverty, racism, addiction, and mental health issues. Many patients were either Medicaid or Medicare recipients, or uninsured.

Investigating the impact of language and culture on Clinical Practice Guidelines and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures. Investigating and understanding the impact of patient background on health outcomes, access to care, and health inequities with the aim to make health care, health education , and the practice of medicine more inclusive.
