  • Worked independently with the support of senior managers to compare a range of differently designed powder feeders through a variety of different powders with different flowability characteristics. successfully attain a first-class grade for this year. • The project entailed: o The designing and running of experiments to characterise the powders, run the feeders and assess the validity of assumptions. o Data processing raw mass flowrate data from the feeders to relative standard deviation and Fourier transformations.o Statistical analysis with T-tests and ANOVA.• Advanced my team-management skills by leading monthly technical and steering meetings with senior managers creating a comfortable environment for everyone to put forward their ideas. • Entrusted with undertaking an unsupervised 1 week scientific research trip to the University of Birmingham to perform an experiment which was identified as future work related to my project. This resulted in being awarded a bonus as a commendation for the successful work which I led. • Developed my coding and mathematical abilities by working with a colleague to develop a MATLAB script to perform Fast Fourier Transforms and develop a new and improved data smoothing algorithm over the current standard. • As their first chemical engineering placement student, I was assessed for whether a permanent switch should be made from pharmacy placement students to chemical engineering placement students.
