      Operating and administering the University’s photographic equipment stores that provides a service to the photography staff and students based at the Caerleon campus.Responsibilities:• Organise, issue and receive photographic and film equipment in the equipment stores.• Maintaining an accurate stock control inventory of all equipment held, ready for annual audits. Managing and tracking stock with a large value.• Ensuring that faults and routine maintenance are escalated and dealt with in a timely fashion. Identifying items that need maintenance or repair and reporting to the technical team.• Familiarity with the structures & requirements of working within a project management framework and in addition experience of using complex record systems to coordinate access to rooms and equipment.• Responsible for booking facility rooms as well as keeping them maintained and organised.• Maintaining good relations with staff, students & other departments that use the equipment stores.• To have technical knowledge of the equipment and to have a good understanding and interest inphotography & film, enabling me to give advice to students and assist their needs.• To have basic health and safety knowledge. Show less The University Information Centre (UIC) was the first port of call for prospective students looking for course information.Responsibilities:• Taking and directing calls on the main switchboard.• Giving out course advice via telephone, email and in person to prospective students and supplying information to current students about different aspects of university life.• Recording information about prospective students via a database daily. This database was used to post prospectuses worldwide, produce reports and letters.• Assisting in arranging events such as open days and information.• Taking bookings for open days using a database, sending out itinerary packs, reminders and booking visitors in on the day of the event. Producing reports after the event.• Giving out further information and course advice during these events.• Attending UCAS fairs with members of the Marketing Department.• Collating information on courses from different departments. Using information in Dreamweaver toupdate webpages that the UIC used collectively as its main source of knowledge.• Working closely with the Marketing department who produce the yearly prospectuses.
