  I was the office assistant as well as the personal assistant for the owner. My tasks included filing, bookkeeping, balancing the business checkbook, handling computer issues, managing the Facebook account, researching alternate options in advertising as well as other money saving research, handling customer issues such as refunds and returns, working side by side with the owner to determine the best ways to enhance the business, and monitor all of the finances going in and out of the business.

  My main responsibility for this position was working side-by-side with clients to ensure that every conference went off flawlessly. I checked room setups, ensured all food was ready on time, handled all on-site changes and issues, and was in 24/7 contact with my clients the entire time they were on-site for their event. I worked as a cook in the Garde Manger kitchen. My responsibilities included preparing food, organizing food for large parties, and ensuring that every food item was in presentable condition when it left the kitchen. I was also trained to carve fruits in front of guests.
