  Involved in traffic modelling and junction capacity analysis for the preliminary design of the N28 Cork-Ringaskiddy Road Scheme. This involved the gathering of raw data, development of traffic growth and distribution models, and the subsequent analysis of a number of different development scenarios, which resulted in the generation of design year traffic volumes on both the proposed mainline roadway and on existing roadways. In addition, I carried out peak hour analysis of all existing and proposed junctions along the scheme using ARCADY and PICADY software (TRL), in order to ensure appropriate junction capacity and geometry.In addition, I was responsible for traffic modelling on a number of components of the NRA Motorway Service and Rest Areas Scheme, namely those facilities proposed along the M7, M8 and M9 Motorways. Both of these projects involved ongoing coordination with the NRA (National Roads Authority), and attendance at technical/steering group meetings.In addition, I assisted in the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO) and Preliminary Design Reports (PDR) for these projects, liaising with the Client and other design team members on an ongoing basis.   Involved in the detailed design of an ongoing large-scale residential development in West Vancouver, British Columbia. Responsibilities included the design of internal access roads, earthworks/grading plans, and sewers and watermains, all in extremely challenging terrain. This required an intimate knowledge of the relevant by-laws, Building Code and best-practice guidelines in order to ensure compliance in such areas as stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and environmental best-practice.Liaising with the Client and other design team members on an ongoing basis, I was also responsible for the contract administration of several projects, overseeing all aspects of the tender process and managing ongoing progress payments and general design/contractual issues, delegating tasks to other team members as required.
