  Quality Control Supervisor/Grinding Foreman

  *Develop Contractor Design Mixes for large concrete paving projects in Iowa. Make field adjustments to the mix to aid in the workability and performance of the concrete slab being paved.*Supervise/Assist our Certified Plant Inspectors for each of our two portable concrete paving plants. Set up job folders for each project which includes having proper IDOT computer programs, source names for each material along with other project specific information.*Supervise/Assist our Concrete Inspectors out at the paving spread. *Help in developing maturity curves for each project.*Work on air meters which includes replacing parts, tearing them completely down, cleaning and putting back together. Fixing the air meters during paving season when needed. Carrying spare parts with me at all times.*Ordering testing equipment for both the Concrete Plant Inspectors and Concrete Technicians at the paving spread.*Send in paperwork with test results from each portable lab to DOT/County on a daily basis. Also submit reports on to an electric filing system for DOT projects.*Develop Quality Control Plans for various projects.*Work with material suppliers to get updated gradations and other information for each project.*Schedule our Grinding Operations for our projects along with Custom Grinding Projects for various customers which includes finding a water source, a truck to pump the slurry from grinding operations into and working with contractors to set a date in which the project is ready for us to start.*Schedule Grooving for Bridge Texturing Projects.*Submit detailed billing for Grinding and Grooving that was performed.*Submit copies of profilograph tracings and reports for our records and sending copies of the same information to the customer in which profilograph testing was performed for. *Help our warehouse manager by work in the companies warehouse during the winter months getting parts to our workers in the shop.
