      For seven summers, I provided the public service of keeping patrons safe at pools in urban Milwaukee. In the summer of 2016, I was promoted to Assistant Head Lifeguard, equivalent to an assistant manager. In the summers of 2017, 2018, and 2019, I was promoted to a Head Lifeguard position. This position is equivalent to that of a manager. For all three summers, I managed the Cool Waters Aquatics Facility in Greenfield Park and the 30 to 50 lifeguards and park workers that are staffed there. This job had many responsibilities and duties, such as making schedules, budgeting, calculating payroll, giving bi-weekly personalized evaluations to staff, managing and training employees, maintaining pool safety, and upholding pool maintenance. I also had responsibilities for recruiting for the Aquatics Department. I would be tasked with going out to high schools and swim meets (in the Greater Milwaukee area) to promote our lifeguarding and park worker positions.
