      NAACP Winter Ball Honoree Garland NAACP Feb 2018 Each year the Garland NAACP Branch honors those that have made major contributions in their field and to the betterment of our community. This year, the Garland NAACP celebrated and honored "Great Communicators". I was honored to be selected as one of the individuals that was a recipient of this prestigious award from the Garland NAACP Branch at their Winter Ball.

      Spirit of Garland Award City of Garland Feb 2017 The City of Garland created a program to honor its employees for the contributions and dedications and this is a new program to the city. Each year 4 employees will be selected amongst the 2,000 employees for their commitment and ongoing integrity to service. In 2017 I was selected to be among the one of the first 4 employees to be a recipient of this prestigious award at a dinner honoring employees.

      City of Garland Ambassador Award City of Garland, City Manager May 2016 This award was developed in 2016 as part of an internal employee recognition program. I was the first to receive this award that is given to individuals that are nominated by the peers and then chosen by the City Manager. The award is for individuals that are the "Face of Garland" and for those that go above and beyond to be ambassadors for the city both internally in the organization and externally in the community.
