      In this role, I focus on improving health equity and patient outcomes within our organization. Working with identified teams, we develop processes and standard work to improve clinical practice and employee engagement. The realization that no project is successful without end-user voice and commitment is what drives successful project. As Sepsis Program Manager, I have an extensive knowledge of the CMS SEP-1 bundle requirements, as well as the SEP-3 definition and coding. Supervision and training of abstractors for the CMS bundle is a key component of this position. In addition, I work with various teams throughout the medical center to improve recognition and treatment of sepsis throughout the health system. I am heavily involved in the development, maintenance, training, and policies related to sepsis care. Capitalizing on the EMR functionality at all times.I have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and medical center processes related to CMS and The Joint Commission Hospital Quality Measure Reporting Programs. In collaboration with Information Technology, I work with our EPIC EMR system to ensure our organization utilizes EMR capabilities at the highest level for efficient and effect clinical workflows and patient safety. This is accomplished through maintaining a high-level understanding of the EPIC system.Facilitation of multidisciplinary teams to ensure maximum data capture of optimal clinical workflows is another key component of this position. Multidisciplinary teams utilize root cause analysis, value stream mapping, gap analysis, the PDCA cycle and other lean mechanisms to engage group dynamics and facilitate improvement strategies throughout the medical center.
