  I worked at the at-risk high school and DAEP for Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD as the CIS Site Coordinator. I conducted individual and group counseling sessions. I partnered with resources and agencies to meet the the needs of the students. I worked on reducing the drop out rate. Many of our students were homeless, pregnant, addicted to drugs, behavioral issues, etc and I provided resources and counseling for these students.

  I worked with 6th-8th graders on their social-emotional- behavioral goals. I provided crisis intervention, psycho educational counseling services to students and families; referrals to community agencies as needed. I identified and and assisted to resolve issues significantly impacting students success in the classrooms. I facilitated groups, presented mandated and relevant topics in an engaging way as well as developed professional relationships to increase student success.

  Crisis Intervention Counselor

  I provide confidential individual and group counseling; confidential assistance to those in need of school supplies, clothing, and additional assistance. I provide intervention services in situations that are deemed a crisis or critical to students, parents, and school staff. I conduct trauma and violence risk assessments. I am in constant contact with colleagues, parents, and mental health professionals to best assist our students and their physical and emotional wellbeing.
