  As a security professional, I needed experience in the security field and needed access to a place where I could gain in depth knowledge of various positions that are a foundation of a successful security organization. I received the opportunity with G4S where I started off as a patrol guard working rotational shifts, and conducted various audits, investigations, and patrols to ensure the security operations were running effectively. Not to long after I was recognized for my hard work and given the opportunity to work as a control room operator on a rotational shift, where I carried out the following duties: CCTV monitoring/investigations, report writing, patrol guard monitoring, employee assistance, client assistance, special requests, contractor requests, fire/medical/environmental first responder emergencies, and liaison services for fire, police and ambulance. Due to my strong work ethics and leadership qualities I was awarded the day shift team lead control room operator position.After working as a team lead control room operator on the day shift, I was able to demonstrate my ability to be a fast learner with very strong communication and leadership qualities, and was awarded the shift supervisor position. As a shift supervisor I managed a team of 9 guards, providing training, operational support, assisting building operations, clients, contractors, employees, and the general public of any issues or special requests that arose.
