Under the supervision of Prof. Arvind Sahay, my research examined how consumers evaluate multiple promotion deals. To understand the same, I collected data of 20+ participants using survey methodology. I also participated in all the core aspects of the research, including designing of the experiment, data collection, and conducting data analysis.

      Jul 2019 - Jul 2022
      MSCA-ITN Early Stage Researcher

As an Early Stage Researcher, I was employed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Project RHUMBO. The project aimed to interpret the neurophysiological signals of consumers (like heart rate or brain activity) in mixed reality environments, with the goal of understanding consumer behaviour. My Responsibilities included:- Using my training, skills and expertise to work on three interconnected consumer behaviour projects.- Collected data from 500+ samples using online survey aggregator MTurk.- Pursued qualitative analysis of more than 100 journal articles as part desk research. - Assisted in setting up an in-house virtual reality lab to collect survey and biometric data from 30+ participants. - Used advanced statistical techniques (such as Regression, ANOVA, and Mediation analysis) to derive results. My other responsibilities-- Development and submission of deliverables to the EU, which included continuous research progress and yearly progress reports- Dissemination of scientific contributions to various stakeholders.- Public awareness regarding the use of applied neuroscientific tools. My scientific contribution through this project includes: - 3 first authored and several co-authored journal articles. - Presentations in over five national and international conferences and seminars.- Collaborations with other consortium partners. May 2021 - Jul 2021
      Visiting Researcher

At the Research Centre “E Piaggio”, I worked with Prof. Gaetano Valenza to review the heart rate variability literature and its application in consumer research.During this Secondment, - We published a review article on the use of heart rate variability in consumer research. This involved desk research of 100+ scientific articles obtained from various scholarly databases. Next, we highlighted its past usage, future research directions, and suggested guidelines for new researchers in the consumer research domain. - I developed hands-on understanding of heart-rate variability analysis, which includes extracting, cleaning, pre-processing, and analyses of the open-source dataset. Sept 2021 - Dec 2021
      Visiting Researcher

I collaborated with Dr. Thomas Ramsøy and was integrated with the research team to develop a study. The study was the construction of a virtual shopping experience for analysing consumers’ impulse buying behaviour, intermixing survey-based and bio-signal-based techniques. During this Secondment - - Developed research focused on understanding consumers’ impulsive behaviour during virtual shopping. During the experiment, we collected questionnaires and brain activity data to delineate the effect of the user's cognitive load on planned and unplanned shopping behaviour, as well as to establish associations between technical aspects of the virtual environment and shopping outcomes. - Handled all aspects of research end-to-end, which included–design of the experiment, overall data collection integrating survey and neurophysiological methods; performed statistical data analysis; and wrote the manuscript.- Managed secondary tasks that included weekly lab meetings, presentation of the research progress, and discussion with fellow colleagues.
