      Served as Infantry and Reconnaissance Platoon and Company Commander, Battalion Operations Officer and as an intelligence officer in Fallujah and Ramadi, Iraq and in Kunar Province, Afghanistan as well as a Division Intelligence Planner.  -Assisted in crafting and executing 2nd Marine Division’s counter insurgency strategy for the Operation Iraqi Freedom III Campaign Plan.  -Developed specific counter terrorism threat analyses and collection plans utilizing all intelligence disciplines from a variety of military and government sources while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. -Planned, coordinated, and supervised the pre-combat training and combat deployment of over one thousand Marines and sailors in preparation and execution of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  -Planned, trained, and led Marines in combat operations as well as numerous high risk airborne, dive and live fire evolutions.       Identified emerging programmatic issues and mission, create effective strategies, and institute policies and practices to implement them. Additionally, created Lean Six Sigma measures of performance and effectiveness to monitor programmatic progress.  -Created strategy to position program to meet DIA’s long term strategic goals. Utilized Agile methodology to reconfigure program processes to implement strategy and developed Lean Six Sigma based measures of effectiveness and measures of performance to grade strategy effectiveness.  -Responsible for managing $26 million in equipment at 28 sites over 22 states encompassing more than 5000 workstations and the associated network equipment for three networks. These sites currently serve more than 7000 users.  -Developed measures of performance and measures of effectiveness using Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) principles to properly identify sites that are operating over or under design capacity available and to allocate resources and redistribute mission as necessary. -To meet emerging strategic needs, designed and managed a complete upgrade of all network related equipment and infrastructure at all sites that increased connectivity to the user’s desk from 45 Mb/S to 1 Gb/S. This included everything from upgrading site connection to GigE, re-cabling all sites with fiber optics and the purchase and installation of all WAN and LAN equipment (cryptographic equipment, routers, switches and workstations).       Deputy Commander for Task Force Southwest and advisor to the Afghan National Army's 215th Corps during combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Planned and supervised the end of the Marine Corps' presence in southern Afghanistan and it's transition to special operations forces as well as the retrograde of all USMC personnel and equipment.
