  At CBTS, I automated virtual machine deployment and managed VPN updates through scripting. I integrated technologies like ZFS, Glusterfs, and Microsoft incremental backups seamlessly. I documented an admin portal for private cloud VM provisioning and optimized our development environment for improved performance. I was all about streamlining and making things work better.

  I built a leadership development program that enables leaders to confidently understand, compellingly communicate, and decisively execute on our product strategy. I created a social media bootcamp that builds skills needed to influence online. I've been producing Red Hat's longest running and most popular internal podcast about the challenges and ideas driving the Products and Technologies organization. Every day I provide a daily market and industry trends update to help Red Hat decision makers keep up with tech industry topics and trends that impact Red Hat's open hybrid cloud strategy.I bootstrapped an internal conference from a couple of people watching videos in a room in Brisbane to a multi-region, multi-day event with hundreds of speakers and thousands of attendees that reinforces the open culture and prepares the next generation of Red Hat speakers. I launched and grew a globally distributed team building event involving thousands of people that combines the company values with peer recognition and has no budgetary impact. Show less I led a remote team dedicated to fostering open knowledge exchange and collaboration within Products and Technologies. Together, we:- Produced a monthly internal newsletter.- Created a monthly internal podcast.- Developed videos outlining our strategic initiatives.- Orchestrated events to facilitate knowledge exchange.- Conducted interviews about our products.- Organized cultural celebrations.In this role, I focused on empowering my team to drive collaboration and communication within the organization. Show less I wrote product documentation for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Red Hat's virtualization offerering. As part of an important release, I re-engineered a rickety document into something much tighter, and helped established a more topic-based methodology for writing documentation. I managed the private cloud used by writers and others to test the Red Hat products they were working on. I also set up and maintained a lab used by fellow Red Hatters to practice for RHCSA and RHCE certifications, and administer examinations for the same. Show less
