➖ TREND SETTER LEADING 50 STAFF IN AMBULATORY CARE SERVICING OVER 6,000 UNIQUE PATIENTS ➖I currently lead a team of 50 clinical and operations staff in the Ambulatory Care unit where I execute change management to ensure culture and staff are poised for the new healthcare reform landscape with local implementation of the Patient Centered Medical Home model. I also evaluate, monitor, and provide oversight for registration, scheduling, visit closing, and clinical information systems to ensure proper patient workflow.► Nominated for and successfully completed the NYP’s 12-month ‘Building Tomorrow’s Leadership Program’ (BTL), an executive program for NYP’s top 30 managers to prepare them for higher positions within the institution.► Achieved 100% employee survey participation for the first time in the history of the Ambulatory Care unit, up from 67% from previous year, by instilling a unity-focused culture and becoming a trend setter. ► Increased employee engagement scores by 2% (2018) in each domain of the annual employee scores by leading staff in understanding the mission and vision of the institution, as well as being a champion in employee recognition and providing adequate training and resources.► Reduced unbilled receivables by 4% leading to nearly $3.3M in collected payments by partnering with the medical providers on selecting the correct diagnosis code as well as timely signing off and closing of patient notes.► Developed and implemented short-term and long-term strategies and business plans that grew the practice by adding new services / supplementing existing services, as well as adding 2 full-time Medical Assistants.► Develop strategies to maximize practice revenue and decrease operating expenses while maintaining practice standards, regulatory requirements, and adhering to quality goals and other performance criteria. Show less ➖ SPEARHEADED STAFF DEVELOPMENT / TRAINING AND EVALUATED PROGRAM PERFORMANCE ➖In this role, I led a team of 38 supervisory, professional, and support staff at multiple sites and managed all aspects of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, including a caseload of over 13,000 participants and a $3+M budget. A focus of mine was spearheading staff development and training and evaluated program performance to maintain efficiency and quality. I developed and implemented quality improvement protocols, including state and federal mandate compliance. I oversaw project budgets, travel expenses, and acquisition of funding and monitored monthly expenditures. I also executed strong leadership and guidance to site coordinators and was the liaison between the local agency and the State Department of Health.► Promoted from Supervisor of the WIC Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. ► Launched and managed the successful site consolidation and move combining 2 locations—one with 3,000 patients; the other with 4,000 patients—into one new mega site. I secured the space, consolidated staff, and moved both locations on time and within budget without incurring much cost by utilizing—and cleaning—existing furniture not being used within the new location.► Obtained 5-yr. grant for over $5M from the WIC Federal program through the NY State Department of Health by creating a winning proposal that ranked in one of the top categories, allowing the WIC Program to be renewed. Show less ➖ DEVELOPED / PLANNED / COORDINATED WIC PROGRAM SERVICES FOR MULTIPLE SITES ➖I coordinated all major components of the WIC Program to achieve compliance with USDA, NYSDOH, and NYP requirements:► I SUPERVISED 45 supervisory, professional, and support staff and provided guidance and strong leadership to Site Coordinators.► I MANAGED a caseload of more than 13,000 participants.… AND I OVERSAW the following areas:✔ Program Planning and Evaluations✔ Employment✔ Personnel Training✔ Employee Relations✔ Client Services Show less
