  I have started my career at sea serving on board various container vessels. I have been working as safety / navigational officer & designated GMDSS operator taking care of the LSA and FiFi equipment, voyage planning, maintenance of charts and library up to date, ballast operations and monitoring of cargo operations. During my first years at sea I gained as well valuable experience taking part in two dry dockings – 10 years class renewals.

  Dynamic Positioning Operator & Helicopter Landing Officer

  Worked on board a Self-propelled Heavy Lift Jack-up DP2 vessel “Innovation“, mainly engaged in offshore construction activities / wind farms construction. The vessel is equiped with 1500 T Main crane and a 40 T Auxiliary crane, both from Liebherr. The Dynamic Positioning system is L3, using Cyscan and 4 x DGPS units as position reference systems. The jacking system by Siemens is of rack and pinion type, with legs length of 89m. On board I was in charged as Dynamic Positioning Operator, Helicopter Landing Officer, assistant jacking operator and designated navigational officer.My duties encompassed as well execution of ballast operations, daily toolbox talks, drills, use of Bluefleet PMS, issuing of work permits under company ISM. During the time I have spent on board I have been part of two dry dock entries – an intermediate class docking and an additional docking for upgrading works, which gave me a lot of valuable experience from a technical point of view.   Currently I am working on board a Multi Purpose Offshore Support DP 2 Vessel “Nor Naomi”. She is equipped with a K-Master - K-Pos 22 Dynamic positioning system, fully integrated K-Chief and K-Thrust from Kongsberg. As position reference systems - HiPAP, CyScan, RADius and 2 x DGPS units are being used. She has also a 100T Active Heave Compensated knuckle boom crane from MacGregor with a maximum working depth range of 3000 meters. The helideck is capable of receiving Sikorsky S-92 type of helicopters.The vessel is long term chartered by Noble Energy for service in various oil & gas projects, doing subsea construction and ROV works, surveys and platform supplies. I was part of the crew who joined the new build vessel still in the shipyard and took part in the final works bringing her to a fully operational condition.
