  Internship supervised by Dr. Lakshmi Krishnan.Working with the Algal Biotechnology and Bioplastics (ABB) team to research and develop a Standard Operating Procedure to extract proteins from the microalgae, Chlorella.Lysis of algal cells allows for proteins to be extracted, characterised through CN and FTiR analysis, and manipulated to synthesise high value products, e.g. bioplastics.

  Partnering the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation with the Centre for Inclusive Design to form a transdisciplinary team to research and analyse the problem space of inclusivity at music venues and gigs.We are tasked to create and design an intervention or solution that can promote music venues to be more inclusive. My group had reframed this challenge and landed on focusing on the neurodivergent community. This is informed through our insights from research and methodologies.My team and I achieved a mark of 86/100 for our final presentation and report on our proposed intervention. The intervention was a platform that allowed those experiencing barriers, namely neurodivergent people, to rate and provide reviews on live music venues based on lived experience. This challenge was tackled through various creative methods to inspire insights, such as systems mapping, drawing rich-pictures, engagement (interviews, surveys, emails) with key stakeholders, researching relevant case studies, and field work.
