      Venture Matrix - External Project Support Assistant (12 Month Placement)

      Venture Matrix is a work based learning scheme within Sheffield Hallam University that offers tangible work experience through projects to students with external organisations as part of their degree. This role included:• Building and maintaining relationships with external business partners on behalf of Sheffield Hallam. • Sourcing clients and in turn work experience opportunities for a variety of students - their experience accredited as part of their degree.• Constant liaison with a diverse range of stakeholders including external businesses, academics, and students.• Managing around 40 projects, from 4 different modules, across 3 different levels of study, dealing with around 150 students, 14 tutors and 30 businesses, each with their own scope of project ideas. I successfully facilitated the delivery of these projects. • Chaired weekly sub-team meetings.• Organised and Managed an annual Speed Networking Trade Fair event with an attendance of 119 students where 91% of students gave a 4 or 5 out of 5 for overall experience at the event. • Produced Venture Matrix PR/marketing materials that have featured within internal bulletins, external press, the Venture Matrix blog and for the purpose marketing materials such as case studies and newsletter articles to showcase to stakeholders.• Maintained the social media platforms including Twitter and LinkedIn and recording the analytics.• Delivered presentations to students encouraging them to collaborate with Venture Matrix as part of their degree to enhance their own employability.• Attended networking opportunities to raise awareness of the Venture Matrix scheme with the aim of meeting new potential clients. • Collaboratively established a Placement Student Network group within SBS alongside colleagues and moving forward with ideas to create a supportive environment for placement students at SHU.
