Worked part-time during school on a product specification database for the Fiber Optic Engineering team designed to help update specifications, streamline information look-up, and prepare the data for loading into product management system. Evaluated electrical performance of communications cables using network analyzer for analysis of internal plant production, competitor products, and outsourced products. Provided statistical analysis of test results. Compiled detailed catalog of main competitor’s products, tested electrical and physical properties and compared results against published properties. Worked at plant, helped with testing of cable as well as assembly of fiber optic A/V broadcast equipment.

      Jul 2017 - Sept 2022

I worked with several healthcare organizations across the country to support their reporting needs out of Epic. I helped them write SQL queries to support projects such as reporting on COVID-19 vaccinations and hospital readmissions. I also supported customers in buiding out reporting templates to query production data from the document-based database in Epic (Reporting Workbench) and supporting visual self-service tools for customers to query their relational databases (SlicerDicer). I also supported in the onboarding processes (phone interviews, advising other TS) in my role on the Cogito team. Finally, I taught classes on how to make custom programming points and rules in Epic to pull data into reports, adding flexibility and functionality to Epic's standard reporting tools. Show less I worked directly with technical analyst project teams at leading healthcare organizations across the country to help with maintenance and continuing projects for the organizations instance of Epic (Electronic Medical Record), specifically the Epic oncology treatment module (Beacon). This client-facing work included:- Diagnosing system issues (then recommending and implementing solutions), - Helping customers upgrade their software, maintaining clear lines of communication (escalating issues to leadership as appropriate),- Coordination with the customer team across all applications to ensure the completion and success of projects (rollouts to new locations, integration with 3rd party software, etc.). I also served a co-team lead for our Beacon reporting and analytics work group, where we work on solutions for our entire customer base to leverage Epic's reporting capabilities in order to analyze the data that end users put into the system. Projects in this capacity included:- Making meaningful dashboards to display KPIs to clinic managers and service line directors, allowing them to measure the performance of their cancer centers. Having the data in well-organized dashboards allows the directors to more easily make data driven decisions on what their cancer center should prioritize.- Working on a data abstraction tool to help customers compile data needed to report out for QOPI certification - Organizing and participating in webinars to evangelize our newly developed analytical tools.I also was involved with onboarding new members of the team. This included: - Conducting phone interviews (interviewed over 100 candidates) and on-site case-study assessments.- Being staffed as an official mentor for newer employees, and as an advisor with newer TS to be a resource they can lean on for guidance with more complex problems. - An official customer service skills coach to help employees develop their working relationship with their customers. Research Assistant

Assisting with inter-department collaboration with the Geology department, experiments centered around attempting to detect and classify physical disturbances on an optical calbe by analyzing the light shining through it; the idea would be using existing fiber optic cable infrastructure as a way of detecting movement such as seismic waves. Our experiments involved using a high speed camera to capture images as we agitated the fiber with a solenoid vibrating at known frequency. and then analyzing how the centroid of that image to better understand how the movement of the cable related to the light shining through it. Software Engineering Associate

Currently in 1 year rotational program where we get to spend 3 months with 4 different teams in the Software Development and Information Technology vertical at Charter Communications (Spectrum).Past rotations include:1. Cybersecurity: wrote Terraform modules to automate provisioning of AWS EC2 instances. Wrote Ansible playbooks and roles to configure these EC2 instances for use in adversary simulation C2 campaigns.2. Spectrum TV App: worked with React and Redux sagas to reduce unnecessary calls to retrieve data; worked on project to create new React components to streamline a user's experience watching video on-demand episodes; configured CSS stylesheets to control how customer education tooltips appear to a user.3. PRISM Construction App: PRISM is an application at Charter that manages construction details for new additions to the Spectrum internet network (building requirements, jobs to complete, details on the jobs, etc.). I got a lot of full-stack web development experience here; Angular for the frontend and Spring Boot for the backend.4. Provisioning Services: These services are how services (ex. WiFi) are provisioned to the customer after they have ordered them. I got Back‑end development experience with Spring Boot, working on exchanging information between microservices to handle device swap and reprovision workflows. I also wrote automated unit tests to ensure the acceptance criteria on stories were met. Show less
