Coordinated and/or directed fundraising, community outreach, board relations, public relations, and implementation of the sub-grantees monitoring instrument tool.Select Accomplishments:• Designed the Atlanta Police Department’s Weed and Seed Division annual “Shoot Hoops, Aim High,” basketball camp. The camp promoted youth engagement to reduce risk factors that contribute to criminal activity during Atlanta Public Schools Spring Break. Funding was secured through a mobilization of resources from city government, local businesses, civic associations, churches, schools, and non-profits organizations. For eight years, over 30 police officers engaged over 300 youths in positive social recreation activities.• Negotiated 5 contracts with vendors to include stipends to employ youth aged 14 above as a part of the Weed & Seed job training program.• Tailored fiscal accountability trainings to subgrantees to establish internal controls that will assist in achieving grant goals while safeguarding funds.
