  During my stay at the Institute for Combustion Technology, I performed Large-Eddy simulations (LES) of diesel engine relevant injections. Moreover, I implemented a droplet break-up model into the in-house LES Code

  During my internship I was located in the buisness devision Advanced Simulation Technologies (AST). I used the 3D-CFD software AVL Fire, in order to solve different problems. The main task was to develope a method for the automated calibration of the injection rate, which is required for simulations of gasoline direct injections. For that, AVL Fire was connectd to a optimization programm.
