Sept 2011 - Dec 2021Outline: Strategic, technical and operational leadership of nutrition department, as well as mentored more than 10 staffs across the country for about $1 millions yearly budget Keys responsibilities• Lead strategic planning and development of nutrition new programs;• Provide technical and operational leadership to the implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation of nutrition programs to ensure timely achievement of deliverables; • Lead the nutrition situation analysis in Cameroon to inform HKI’s interventions, through interactive discussions with multiple stakeholders and using both published and grey literature, including program evaluations reports, academic publications, data sets, policies, strategies and plans; • Provide government partners with technical support and capacity building in nutrition.Some Keys achievements Carried out a situation analysis process of the vitamin A supplementation (VAS) program; Carried out a situation analysis process of the Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) program; Led strategic planning and development of nutrition programs for Helen Keller International (HKI) Cameroon; Led the development of at least 8 funded proposals. Led the identification bottlenecks in 4 project implementation. As well as documentation of lessons learned; Managed, monitored and verified the efficient use of at least 8 nutrition projects resources that included but were not limited to financial, administrative and other assets. Led the development of at least 4 technically validated Draft of policy briefs. Introduced innovative holistic approach of managing acutely malnourished children using a combination of locally available nutritious food and nutrition education which led to a significant decrease of SAM out-patient admission as well as improving MAM recovery rate from zero (because of lack of CSB+) to more than 75%; Show less Outline: Lead coordination of programmatic activities, analyse results and initiate timely corrective actions required, and nutrition department reports writing as well as supervision of 3 staffs performance.Keys responsibilities• Lead the development of program work plan activities and its implementation; • Conducts monitoring visits to project site to ensure activities are being implemented according to work plans, and make recommendations for necessary corrections; • Monitor nutrition program budgets to ensure compliance with donor requirements. Some Keys achievements• Carried out monitoring and evaluation of 2 important Helen Keller’s programs (large scale food fortification and VAS) in Cameroon to assess progress and to determine corrective actions for these interventions to achieve its intended results;• Led the writing of at least 10 projects reports (annual, monthly and quarterly), for submission to management, donors and partners to keep them informed of programme progress. Show less Outline: Overall management of Littoral region field office, engagement at field level with Government, UN and NGOs responsible. Lead the development of innovative community strategies to foster Child Health Days (CHD) interventions coverage. Some Keys achievements• Designed and implemented a community strategy to improve VAS coverage during catch-up event in urban area. This lead to improve VAS coverage during catch-up events from 49% to 95% in urban area of Littoral region of Cameroun;• Led the design and the implementation of documentation of Child Health Days from 2008 to 2014 which led to a whole document containing several information’s among other: dates, interventions, strategies, funding sources etc.• Led the design and implementation of documentation of lessons learned from VAS during catch-up events from 2011 to 2013 in urban areas of Littoral region; Show less
