  Project Transformation had me working with individuals of all ages in the community. Our primary roles were to cater to children's needs by improving their literacy. Teaching holistic growth, introducing what a healthy life style looks like i.e. hygiene, mental health, etc were also an integrative part to our curriculum. This organization used churches as a place of learning and gathering. The food bank provided food for our children. Local community members volunteered their time to give children someone to read with.This internship was 9 weeks long filled with intense work and many growth opportunities. Friday experiences were dedicated to different areas of growth. Friday experiences included a visit with a child advocacy center; closely tied to child protection services, immigration work, the elderly, and much more.This program exposed many cold hard truths of different realities people face.   I was a part of a team who served ice cream to our local community. We kept the facility clean, made ice cream in the mornings, made waffle cones, and primarily served ice cream in the afternoon till close. I was also one of their cake decorators who helped decorate their cakes
