      After transferring into the Mechanical Engineering department as a junior, I developed a deeper passion for engineering and began to see how I could apply my knowledge and skills as an engineer in a variety of ways and industries during my time at SU.       Commisary and Concessions

      Worked three racing seasons at Emerald downs. I began my first year in the concession department serving up to a thousand customers a day, and by the second year I had taken on more responsibilities and accumulated the most hours during the season in my department. After turning 18 I was promoted to commissary where I was given additional responsibilities such as working independently to accomplish task throughout the building and its various facilities and running the receiving and distribution for the building in the morning.       Began at Amazon as a seasonal associate and was promoted to a full-time position. Through this experience I saw the day-to-day usage of many industrial pieces of equipment and learned typical warehouse processes in a fast-paced environment, completing up to 300 units per hour.Over the course of my time here I would work in several departments and began to undertake more responsibilities such as flexibly working throughout the building where additional help was needed.

      Currently an Engineer in Training within the energy management engineering track under the Business Energy Management group. Part of the Building Performance Team working to expand Puget Sound Energy's Commercial Strategic Energy Management (CSEM) incentive programs with large commercial customers by providing technical support and leading communication with customers as well as analyzing participants energy usage to determine program energy savings. Also as an EIT I have taken on a variety of projects in the department to expand my experience and knowledge as an engineer. That includes processing energy saving grants for commercial and industrial customers on projects like Boiler retrofits with ~1000 therms/yr of savings, lighting projects with over 200,000 kWh/yr of savings, etc. Show less
