      In June 2000 following my graduation from business school with notation, and the last six months of my internship in the UK (subsidiary to the Ampa Group) I was offered my first role as Assistant product manager for Bebe and Co ,now acquired and known as Dorel Ltd. My role was to manage and develop the product portfolio of the brand for small nursery accessories including bath and toys. I learnt the whole product development processes, liaised with various product sources and developed packaging. Selling technique to the sales force or buying central were the foundations of my existing selling and presentation skills. Show less

      In September 2002, I moved permanently from France to the UK and was offered a position as Junior Buyer for Halfords within their Travel department looking after Car Safety, Pets on the move and Travel accessories (e.g. torches, mechanical security, exterior security, breakdown and emergency, continental motoring and number plates). My role was to launch the ‘Kids Zone’ which led to Halfords being a major player within the car seat market and was my first experience as a buyer for a British retailer.       Reporting directly to the Global Product Director. The total division since taking over responsibility of Head of buying has grown from 46 to 55% mix of the total Mothercare business and is worth £500m globally. I successfully implemented divisional strategies, product roadmaps, business presentations, led franchises selling events, attended international fairs identifying new opportunities, visited key franchise partners markets to support the international growth of the department and finally managed and developed a team of twenty people within a business in turnaround. Areas I looked after included the entire product portfolio (brand and own brand) of car seats, carriers, travel accessories and travel cots. I delivered profitable sales growth, market gain and introduced Trading Variables to the business (now worth £8.2m). In 2008, I took on the role of Buyer for Feeding and soon after was promoted to Senior Buyer for the whole of Nurture. This enabled me further develop my product knowledge of FCGM lines and brands whilst also developing my relationship with the franchise partners. In September 2013 I took on the role of Travel Category manager, leading the biggest cash and FAM departments within Home and Travel, currently delivering significant sales and profit growth year on year (average of +14% on pushchairs, +17% on Car Safety and +60% on FAM).
