CHPE involves the construction of an underground and underwater transmission line spanning approximately 339 miles between the Canada–U.S. border and New York City. Kiewit has been selected to lead the on-land construction activity for the entirety of CHPE’s HVDC route including the converter station in Astoria, Queens. I work in Area 1 of the five areas segmenting the project. Please see my resume for my specific roles and responsibilities in Area 1 of CHPE. This project rehabilitated the Yellow Line tunnel and bridge between Pentagon and L'Enfant Plaza stations and connected the new Potomac Yard Station to the mainline rail system. This work required the Yellow Line tunnel near L'Enfant Plaza Station and the bridge across the Potomac River to close for approximately eight months, making the project a 24/7 job with both day, night, and cross shifts. Please refer to my resume for my roles at this project.
