In my third year, I chose chemical biology as my major for conducting my bachelor's thesis research. My research focused on isolating, culturing, and classifying new microorganisms such as bacteria, yeasts, and micro algae, which could synthesize carotenoids. Additionally, I attempted to characterize the pigment components in the isolated strains and detect canthaxanthin, a target pigment with potential applications in the anti-oxidative field.
