      I a volunteering in both the main campus Legal Advice Centre and the East Manchester Legal Advice Centre. Originally in this position I volunteered as a receptionist, calling clients to gather the relevant facts of their cases for the Student Advisors. This year however I am now volunteering as a Student Advisor, which involves interviewing clients, maintaining my case files and writing letters of advice. So far I have been involved in cases concerning benefit claims and human rights, which has required me to liaison with the human rights charity Liberty on behalf of my client to seek representation.       For the past three summers I have taken part in MCS Projects Ltd Science and Technology Challenge Days as a member of the North-West team, teaching hundreds of students from various school in numerous cities.In 2015 I became the team lead for the challenge days. This involved overlooking all of the four workshops which ran each day and included delivering introductory assemblies to over 120 year 8-9 students and presenting the awards assembly at the end of everyday.

      As a news editor for the Mancunion I was responsible for a variety of tasks which had to be managed on a weekly basis, meeting both Mancunion deadlines and the demands of my coursework during my final year at the University of Manchester. These tasks included running news meetings every Monday during which stories, many of which the news team had to find by managing our email and social media accounts, would be distributed to our team of news reporters. This year the news section maintained one of the largest teams of news reporters with over 16 contributors regularly attending meetings throughout the year.Throughout the week I would then be responsible for keeping check on the progress of stories, whilst writing my own. Every Friday I would then be responsible for editing and indesigning stories for the print edition and then uploading these stories to our website. Show less When needed I am also the photographer for the Mancunion, which besides frequently taking the 'picture of the week' for page 2 of the print edition of the paper, has also most prominently involved working alongside the University of Manchester Student Union to run the 'Pangaea: Rumble in the Jungle' and 'Pangaea: Space Odyssey' fancy dress competition.Most recently I have also done photography at the Reclaim the Night 2015 protest march, where my work was used for a front page piece and full page feature on the event.       My role is to assist on various programmes ran by the Events and Liaison Team. This has so far included working on the Manchester Gold Mentoring Programme; analysing data from previous years and making subsequent recommendations for the Autumn 2015 programme, planning and implementing a marketing and communications strategy, overseeing the matching process in which 439 mentor-mentee matches were made and running student induction sessions. I have also worked on the ‘My Future Fest’ event, a week long student employability event in which I was responsible for recruiting and supervising a team of student workers and also a £1500 budget for decoration. Accountable and responsible for creating, prioritising, and delivering on a product roadmap made up of business initiatives, regulatory initiatives, user and competitor research findings, and technical debt.Product Owner Digital AuthenticationA regulatory project to meet compliance with Strong Customer Authentication as part of PSD2 across the Bank’s retail digital estate. This including making amendments to both online banking and the mobile app and resulted in the removal of hard token authentication for online banking and the implementation of one time passcodes. As part of this I set-up a separate project to recycle the hard tokens replaced by the project, for both the Bank’s remaining warehouse stores and for customer’s to opt into. This resulted in over 85,000 card readers being recycled. Product Owner Business Banking Onboarding Agile product owner role for the re-designing of the Business Banking digital application journey. Show less Digital Graduate scheme which included placements in different teams within the Digital department, each for a minimum of six months. This included placements in the User Experience Team (particularly focusing on User Research); the Digital Service Team; leading an Accessibility project to implement WCAG 2.1 AA standards across the Digital estate; Project Management; and a scrum team placement as a Product Owner.Notable activity included: - Using Adobe Analytics and WordStream SEO optimisation tool to optimise public site FAQs and help and support information- Leading an accessibility Project which conducted cross-platform audits against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and Gov.UK accessibility recommendations. This included organising user testing with disabled users through the Digital Accessibility Centre. Following the audit, I worked with the Digital department and scrum teams to implement new accessibility guidance and training and to make it a mandatory requirement for any change to meet an AA accessibility standard.
