  Responsible for the design of large be-spoke recycling plants which sorted household waste into various different materials so it could be processed for recycling. The plants consisted of various screening and sorting machines linked together using various lengths of conveyors and supported of various different steel legs and frames. I created BOM’s and drawings for purchasing and production. I carried out the initial site survey taking measurements and levels of the area.

  Design Engineer

  This company designed, manufactured and sold small to medium sized quarrying equipment for screening and stockpiling aggregates. I initially joined Anaconda to solely design them a new trommel screening machine, the TD516, this was to be their second screener. When I left Anaconda had a range of 8 different screening machines as well as a wide range of conveying equipment. During the design process I would source all materials and components for the product. When the design was complete I would then create all the part and assembly drawings, and generate all BOMs from the Pro-E models. I nested all the plate parts for cutting on the plasma and outsourced non plate parts. When the prototype machine was being tested on site I spend time monitoring it and recording throughput of material. I lot of time was spent problem solving spillage areas between two conveyors transferring material. I supervised the first production build of each machine recording any changes that were required before the second machine went through the production process. Show less

  I have designed the euro6 engine install for the StreetLite single deck product and was a key member in introducing this design into production. I have developed existing designs within the single deck driveline team, designed new technology for prototype builds and implemented new designs into production. I produce production drawings and BOM’s for the relevant areas of the design and support the factory production daily.
