  As a senior in high school, I had the honor of working with City Council Member Janet Corte. Working alongside Ms.Corte I was able to research the changes in demographics throughout Katy, Texas in relation to political identities and migration. With a focus on recent development projects in the last decade, we gauged the opinions of residents and voiced the impacts that the decisions taken by City Council had on the community. Our conclusions revealed how the changes in the last decade have altered the political standing of the city and how regional opinions of new projects are ever given the rapid suburbanization of the community.
