Jan 1994 - Jan 2007• Senior deployment/redeployment advisor to the Commanding General.• Night manager for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) when activated.• Planned, coordinated and implemented resources in order to deploy 200 different military organizations, on different time-lines, consisting of a total of 180,000 soldiers from Germany to combat areas inside Iraq, and return.• Senior Rail Head leader and Air Load manager; experienced airfield management.• Established first United States operated reverse osmosis water treatment plant in Iraq that utilized river water from the Euphrates River; produced 110 million liters of potable water in ten months of operations; saved $63 million dollars and eliminated 9,500 trucks from cross border missions in dangerous areas.• Published Truck/Convoy Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the entire command.• Planned and executed the base closure and retrograde of excess military equipment and property from over 20 Forward Operating Bases back to supply hubs in Kuwait, or the donation and/or demilitarization of equipment identified by the US State Department to be donated to the government of Iraq. In some cases, equipment was destroyed in place as it was not economically feasible to transport globally, and in such cases all proper steps were taken and documented. Jan 2011 - Jan 2012Lieutenant Colonel, Director of Airfield Logistics, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, US Army• Supported over 4,000 soldiers in a hostile deployed area in southern Afghanistan, in support of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF)• Responsible for synchronizing all supply and cargo distribution operations that arrived at the airfield and prepared convoys for onward ground or helicopter movement to supported outlying Forward Operating Bases in a hostile fire zone.• Supervised 150 logistics soldiers on Kandahar Airfield; managed the deployment plans and operations of the organization; provided oversight of the Chaplain and Brigade Legal Team, and the Human Resource Department. • Successfully redeployed the organization from Afghanistan back to Fort Carson, Colorado which included all soldiers from seven subordinate organization (about 570 soldiers per battalion) that required two ocean capable ships and nine C-17 Globemaster USAF aircraft; all without any incident or loss of equipment.• Pioneered the first US Army use of the Dubai multi-modal redeployment route; reduced transit time by 34%.• Senior liaison and organizational leader assigned to the NATO trauma and surgical hospital in Kandahar, Afghanistan; responsible to track all Aeromedevac operations that transported/treated our organization’s wounded Soldiers.• Represented the Brigade Commander for all Transfer of Human Remains actions and ceremonies.• Senior leader over the organization's Wounded Warrior facility on Kandahar Airfield.
