  Wight Nature Fund is a registered charity that operates on the Isle of Wight. It has two objectives - to obtain and manage environmentally important land on the Isle of Wight, for the benefit of local communities and to educate people about our local environment. Since starting as one of the new board of trustees we have recovered the charity from oblivion and published a book funded by the AONB Partnership and other bodies. This book has been handed out to all children at Yarmouth and Shalfleet primary schools, to help educate and inform them about their local environment and is now available to buy in local outlets around the West Wight.I have also registered the land held by the charity with DEFRA and claimed grant aid for a Woodland Management Plan to ensure the management of the copse improves and delivers great amenity woodland for our community, now and well into the future.
