      Sept 2010 - Oct 2023

I was an avionics / electrical on aircraft supervisor within the rotary business unit. I moved around the maintenance lines as required. I gained a vast spectrum of experience in all phases of aircraft maintenance, including strip/survey, rectifications, build/test phases & flight test support. I actively participated in Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts. I developed good knowledge of Lean thinking, Sharing Best practice, & Improving Quality (IQ) techniques. I maintained good knowledge of my responsibilities as a supervisor grade technician. I gained valuable knowledge of how to correctly use / complete aircraft documentation, combined with valuable knowledge of my responsibilities under the MRP Part 145, AS9100 & CAE 4000 series regulations. Show less During the first two years after my apprenticeship I was a CAT A, avionics / electrical aircraft technician in the Chinook business unit. It was my responsibility to carry out aircraft maintenance tasks as instructed by the various supervisors which I worked with. I worked on all phases of maintenance including: - strip/survey, rectifications & build / functional test. I was heavily involved with my teams AI efforts & I frequently used my free time to assist with progressing these projects, in order to improve the work environment. I gained good knowledge of Lean, Best practice, AI / CI & Improving Quality (IQ). Show less I completed a 3 year indentured advanced apprenticeship in aircraft engineering to become a qualified aircraft technician. I gained experience on a variety of helicopters, including Chinook, Lynx & Sea-king. I gained experience in each of the stages of maintenance which are Strip/survey, Rectifications & Build / Test. I also made a big contribution to multiple teams AI efforts. This is where I gained my keen & willing interest in AI, as I saw the multiple benefits of it. One of the major projects I led was the creation of aircraft emergency exit light charging dock, this had a combined yearly saving of £1000. Show less
