      Objective of the internship was to understand the principle of Rankine cycle in power plant and to get the operation overview of the power plant. Two vapor absorption chillers were installed at the plant which were running on the waste heat of the plant having overall refrigeration capacity of 525 tons.

      As a internee I have worked in Gas turbine power station (Combined Cycle power plant) at kotri (sindh) . I spent the time on learning the working principle of Gas turbine and HRGS, 2nd objective was to understand the operation of both the units, where a gas turbine coupled with generator producing 25 MW power and the exhaust of the turbine is being used in HRSG to for producing the steam, that steam is utilized by the steam turbine.
