My main purchasing area was cooking and cleaning appliances. Purchasing process involved for research/find new vendors, set appointments, sample requisition, vendor background check, cost data update, and price change. Buyer was the origin of all business so worked all department closely. It was fun and very fast-paced work place and also had opportunity to assist guest incoming calls.
