    • Cambridge University Press

      Sept 2015 - now

I manage a team of seven Content Managers to deliver the History, Psychology, Linguistics and Trade book lists, in conjunction with colleagues in Editorial, and support my team's learning and development. I provide support for various departmental projects and process improvements. I also work closely with colleagues in Design and Supply Chain Operations, manage the division's relationship with various image libraries, and support the development of the Press's trade and audiobook publishing programme. I sit on both the Press's and the University of Cambridge's LGBT+ staff network committees, where I've helped organise a number of events and the Press's participation in London Pride under the university banner. Prior to mid-August 2021, I oversaw production of the History and Philosophy lists. Show less I shepherded around 30-40 projects at at time from delivery of the typescript into and through the production process to publication, across the History and Philosophy lists, and previously the Politics list. This role incorporated a range of administrative, editorial and production tasks, and was continually evolving to meet the needs of the business. I oversaw the work of external project managers and also project-managed more complex titles directly; these projects included textual editions, reference and trade books. In addition, I acted as the liaison for the Academic division with our preferred supplier of images, assisted in the training of new starters, and line-managed a temporary Content Manager for the duration of their contract.
