After which I was part of the union-management negotiation team for Chevron Chemical. I was later assigned to a management team involved with corporate re-organization and streamlining organizational structures to allow for a more responsive global business model. My final assignment with the Chevron was as the assistant human resource director, which included directly supervising three analysts, for the west Texas business unit. Show less

      Promoted the principles and crafted the implementation strategies for brownfield redevelopment, open space and farmland preservation, waterfront re-development, and sustainable economic development in Niagara County. Accomplishments: • Project manager responsible for administrating and directing the USEPA’s Brownfields Showcase Community and Demonstration Pilot grant programs in Niagara County. The county had been awarded over $4 million in grants for planning, and site investigation and remediation through my efforts. I was also responsible for planning, investigating land tenure concerns, coordination, and execution of five brownfields site land transactions. • Lead planner coordinating with Erie Canal (National Heritage Corridor) communities revitalizing canal waterfront zones. • Watershed coordinator responsible for obtaining over $1.5 million in federal and state grant funds for Eighteenmile Creek Watershed Restoration project restoring salmon and trout habitat and improving waterfront access in downtown Newfane, New York. • Working with a bi-national forum (Ontario, Canada & New York) and the Cites of Niagara Falls and Buffalo to develop a green infrastructure plan for the Niagara River and Erie Canal corridors. • Reviewed site plans, zoning referrals and municipal general plans for Niagara County Planning Board. • Co-lead Niagara Power Project FERC Relicensing process. All three projects involved working with local farmers, who agreed to implement wildlife friendly farming practices. • Project manager for the $1.5 million Auburn Ravine Fish Passage Restoration Project constructing two fish ladders over two water agency water diversion structures benefiting Chinook salmon and Steelhead. • Project manager responsible for the completion and implementation of the Truckee River Corridor Access Plan, a waterfront re-development and river restoration plan, and the Lower Squaw Creek Restoration Plan. • Built a trusted network of contacts, willing to work with me on waterfront redevelopment projects, sustainable design, farmland and open protection, habitat restoration, and policy development.
