  My first junior education practicum was in a seventh grade world history classroom at Timberlane Middle School in Pennington, New Jersey. Responsibilities included constructing unit plans and corresponding lessons, including student test preparations. Additionally, I assisted in classroom instruction and management as well as writing evaluations on students.

  Substitute teacher at a public high school with over 2,000 students. Responsibilities included fulfilling duties and teaching grades 9-12 in all subject areas, including special services, when staff members were absent.

  The culmination of my pre-service pedagogical experiences was student teaching at West Windsor - Plainsboro High School South in Plainsboro, New Jersey. I developed unit plans adhering to new curriculum and taught 127 students in five sections of ninth grade World History Honors.

Duties included assisting students with physical movement, modifying activities, nurturing the development of basic skills, English Language Learner assistance, and providing support to general education teachers.

My class also inspected primary sources to act as historical thinkers and investigators to dissect war crimes of the Vietnam War. We also researched fallen heroes of the Vietnam War utilizing the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.’s online database to write about, and to send letters of remembrance and gratitude to. Other skills involve strategic guided note taking, group projects and presentations, and various assessments.
