       Service, overhaul, repair and maintenance of ADT’s, bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, graders, compactors, off-highway trucks and TLB’s (Bell, Caterpillar, Case, Komatsu, Terex), Volvo front-end loaders and trucks, MAN and Mercedes-Benz trucks, Chieftain, Pilot, Extech and Finley crushers and screens. Responsible for ensuring high levels of equipment servicing and maintenance in accordance with standards, time schedules, cost and safety regulations. Establishes positive working relationships and co-operation between Operators and Workshop teams, in order to maximise costs, the ordering of spares and availability. Responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment repairs, servicing and maintenance is maintained to standards, and in accordance with preventative, planned and cost schedules. Inspects plant equipment and system defects to ensure that safety is practiced at all times, which includes recommending safety improvements, advising on suitable and adequate tests and assisting with investigations into accidents and incidents of a mechanical nature. Facilitates the testing and certifying of safety systems, installations and plant modifications. Assists with plant approval at “site start-up” and compiles reports, equipment service histories and warranty claims. Responsible for the condition monitoring on all plant to maintain it within manufacturer’s specifications. Supervision, mentoring and training of Diesel Mechanics, Operators and Artisans.
