  Research with Professor Sandquist focused on understanding the critical role of spindle orientation during mitosis and possible implications of errors during spindle formation. I am specifically investigating a possible interaction between an important kinase to mitosis and tricellulin at tricellular tight junctions (tTJs) in the Xenopus epithelium. This biochemistry research attempts to explain how information about spindle orientation is conveyed to systems that gate anaphase onset.
