      A major stepping stone for a career in operations managementI was in charge of all shop operations, especially in the absence of store manager. BP connect is a fuel station with top up grocery, pastries and a coffee shop. Though a smaller outfit than my previous store I gained valuable experience in practices and standards expected by bigger organizations.

This proved a very challenging role accentuated by the very complex nature of the business environment in Cameroon, which is also my birthplace. I was contracted for one year but due to the workload I was retained for an extra 6 months.

      I was responsible for improving revenue and monitoring growth through key KPIs . This involved training and staff Performance management. I was responsible for all the London airport operations with the exception of Heathrow and city airport. It was a good opportunity and I learn a great deal.
