In this report, I dealt with various Constitutional provisions, The Representation of People Act, 1951 and judicial pronouncements of Supreme Court which clearly establish, beyond doubts, that a Government Contractor is not eligible to contest elections till the time he is acting in the position of a contractor. The report dealt with the hard issues which came before the court on various occasions asking adjudication as to when the time of disqualification begins. Show less
