Responsibilities:• Product Manager identifies a market problem, quantifies the opportunity to make sure it is big enough to generate profit, and then articulates the problem to the rest of the organization.• Rather than speaking about ESET and its products, a Product Manager acts as an advocate for the market, speaking about customers and the problems they face on day-to-day basis. It is the strategic role of a Product Manager to provide this information to the departments that need market facts to make qualified decisions.• Every market opportunity communicated to the management needs to be supported by business rationale, needs to be quantified (financial forecast) and any potential risks must be identified. This supporting information will be prepared in collaboration with other teams responsible for these respective domains.• Product Manager communicates the market problem to Development in the form of business requirements.• Product Manager communicates to Marketing Communications using product bulletin, positioning documents (if relevant data is available and applicable), one for each type of buyer.• Product Manager provides product related information to the sales teams, especially in the product bulletin and a pre-launch presentation/training to various stakeholders within the company, both of which will also contain any necessary information specific to the product (e.g. specific type of provisioning that no other products require).• Product Manager oversees the build phase in order to achieve the delivery of the final product in accordance with the defined goals and business requirements.• Focus of a Product Manager must not be limited to the current release; based on the knowledge of the market and market problems, successful product management requires thinking many moves ahead, at least a year or two in advance Show less
