      Activities and Societies: Reading for his course bought to life the challenges of managing disasters in developed and less developed countries. It taught me as part of the next generation of Disaster Managers and Emergency Planners to provide my expertise in the form of proactive management of disasters and planned risk reduction interventions. Extra curricular activities included captaining my football team and being an active member of the International Disaster Concern Society.       House gutting and rebuild project in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in response to flooding in 2016. As an assistant Team Leader, I delivered work packages on properties with a small highly motivated team comprised of individuals from around the world, overcoming language and cultural challenges to achieve very rewarding goals. A school build programme, building multiple schools across the Sindhupalchok district in northern Nepal. I led a team as an assistant site supervisor across multiple sites building earthquake resistant schools to serve the local towns and villages following the 2015 Nepal Earthquake. A residential rebuild project in Staten Island, New York in response to Hurricane Sandy. Working in a small team of highly motivated individuals from around the world rebuilding the homes of less fortunate families after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. A building project in response to Typhoon Sendong in conjunction with Habitat for Humanities. Part of a team made up of local workers and volunteers from around the world, in support of those who had lost their homes and livelihoods in Cagayan de Oro, The Philippines.
