  As a fellowship with the George Washington Institute for Public Policy, I assisted professors with new and ongoing research projects. As part of a project that resulted in a peer-reviewed publication, I interviewed CEOs for a study on the changing civic role of business leaders.

  While pursuing my Master’s degree, I maintained the Welfare Rules Database, an established database for comparing cash assistance programs between states and rule changes within a state. I carefully researched and documented state welfare policy changes in rules and regulations using caseworker manuals issued by state governments.
