  In 1941, Young Life was started by a youth pastor, Jim Rayburn, who's heart was to go to the local high school students to introduce them to Jesus Christ and to help the grow in their faith. This mission has been taken on by many volunteers and staff member who have launched Young Life in their communities. Young Life now exists in all 50 states and in over 90 countries.Projects and tasks include:- Provide vision, direction, and spiritual leadership for the Mahoning Valley - Recruit, train, and mentor 13 volunteer leaders to effectively engage with students- Develop and maintain relationships with local churches, schools, community organizations, and donors to expand outreach to 2 new schools- Manage and raise area budget by putting on a total of 10 fundraising events - Organize summer and fall camping trips by working alongside travel agencies, communicating with parents, and building registration pages to ensure impactful experiences for students, a total of 18 trips- Facilitate camp trips, and bible studies to help students grow in their walk with the Lord Show less
