  During my Bachelor thesis at the laboratory of 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐓𝐢𝐦 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐨, I aided in increasing the remyelination potential of oligodendrocytes by using 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐏𝐑-𝐂𝐚𝐬 on an epigenetic level. I gained insights into the design and implementation of the CRISPR-Cas technologie.

  Extracellular vesicle influence on inflammation and mitochondrial activity [Junior internship]

  At the laboratory of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐁𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢, I investigated the influence of blood-brain-barrier extracellular vesicles on inflammation and mitochondrial activity. Here I improved my laboratory skills by performing 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐂𝐑𝐬 and 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬. Additionally, I gained insights into the 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐒 technique and the characerization of extracellular vesicles by using 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬.

  Extracellular environmental effects on Oligodendrocyte lineage specification [Master thesis]

  During my Master´s thesis at the laboratory of 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐨𝐧ç𝐚𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐨-𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨, I investigated the influence of the extracellular environment on the morphological and functional oligodendrocyte heterogeneity. Here, I performed 𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒖 𝐡𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (RNAscope) and 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 on 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 and analyzed the results after 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠.   Ph.D. scientist in Neuroimmunology

  As part of the research group at the laboratory of 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫, I am unraveling specifc therapeutic strategies to target neuron and glial cell types in the context of progressive neuroinflammation.
