The article was published by my organization in its journal, as follows:Topic: Boosting Sales and Customer Satisfaction with Self-checkout ApplicationGirish comprehended the client challenges and with his application development knowledge, he quickly reviewed the requirements to devise a user interactive design. Girish used .NET MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, Web API and Motorola Web Service to design and develop a solution, which consisted of a touch screen Kiosk and a handheld device to communicate with Kiosk by scanning the items after logging in. However, it was not easy to implement the solution without having physical access to the devices. Thus, Girish developed the solution theoretically. He designed and developed the application single-handedly and arranged for a store person for a day to test the solution at the store lab. The application went live without any issues with just one day testing. Furthermore, Girish took the ownership of future upgrades and later, he and his team developed a mobile application for the same. Show less
